Someone who loves the challenge of finding it, identifying it, and going the extra mile to help our customers understand why in the world it is in their space. We are seeking a PLM Asbestos Microscopist who has —
-a thorough understanding of laboratory practices and ethics
-is conscientious and detail-oriented
-can be flexible with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
-has the ability to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Preparing and analyzing environmental asbestos samples using PLM and PCM
-Recording data in our proprietary LIMS and report generation
-Maintain and troubleshoot equipment
-Perform QA/QC practices as specified in our QA/QC manual
-Participates in proficiency testing program
-Provides clients with meaningful information and resource sites to assist them in understanding laboratory analysis
-Other analytical and administrative duties as assigned.
-A 2-year junior/community college OR 4 year degree in Geology OR certification from a bona-fide asbestos microscopy program will be accepted.
-Minimum of one (1) year of environmental commercial or governmental or state laboratory experience in PLM asbestos analysis. The same requirement applies if you have PCM experience.
-A basic understanding of the quality assurance requirements related to asbestos analysis.
